And from what I understand the slide is meant to run smoothly, and like I said I don't have this with the G19 Gen 4. Here's the issue, resistance means friction and if it's possibly metal on metal that means wear and tear (and perhaps not in the right place) and metal flakes. You can just lift it up and off the frame but I don't have that issue with my G19 Gen 4. I believe it could be the ejector contacting the slide cover plate. On my G19 Gen 4 I don't have this resistance it is smooth all the way until the slide can go no further.Ģ) Also when you are disassembling the gun and have pulled it back a few cm and pulled down on the tabs and are in the process of pushing the slide forward and off the frame, instead of being able to push it all the way it get's stuck and you have to push with a little force with your thumb to get it to move. Let me try and explain.ġ) So when I pull the slide back, at about the point at which when 5-10mm of the ejector starts protruding, there is some resistance for a little bit, as if two parts are rubbing against one another and is not running smooth. Was messing around with it and oiling and so forth to check all was ok and came across a possible issue. Just two small issues.Ĭould guys familiar with G17 Gen 5s possibly comment if they have come across this. So picked up my Glock 17 Gen 5 with front serrations yesterday and am super stoked.
